PURPOSE:To automate completely a mold replacing system, by a method wherein a replacing mold is made to fit to an injection molding machine through movement of a mold truck, and a contained mold is accommodated in a housing position of a mold station. CONSTITUTION:A preheated mold 40 is mounted on a turn table 146, a mold truck 134 is moved up to positions confronting to injection molding machines 10, 12 which are to be replaced, the mold removed from the injection molding machine here is mounted on the turn table 146 by a mounting device 162 or 164 whichever is not mounted with the mold 40. Then the turn table 146 is turned by an angle of 180 deg. under a state wherein it is mounted with two pieces of the molds 40 and the changing molds 40 are sent into injection molding machines 10, 12 by changing mounting positions of both the molds for each other, which are fixed by a fixing device 212. Simultaneously with the above matter, the mold truck 134 being mounted with the containing mold 40 is moved up to a position confronting to a containing area 42 wherein the mold 40 is to be accommodated and the mold 40 is housed within the containing area 42. |
