PURPOSE:To shield surely light from the exposing region provided on a photosensitive body by providing a light shielding plate having a partial pass part to said exposing region and prohibiting the incidence of unnecessary light to said region. CONSTITUTION:The light shielding means 6 which prohibits the passage of light while covering the exposing region 4a of the photosensitive body 4 is provided between the region 4a and a projecting means 5. A projecting mirror 13 moves integrally with a carriage 14 for grasping the mirror 13 when the surface of an original 11 is scanned by an exposing lamp 12. The light shielding plate 15 moves together with the carriage 14 while maintaining the adequate relative position with the mirror 13. More specifically an arm 14a contacts with the side edge 18a of the front end of a connecting groove 18 relative with the scanning direction of said groove and moves to pull the plate 15 in such a manner that the pass part 16 of the plate 15 is held always stationary in the position above the optical path of the mirror 13.
