A PCR primer is provided to amplify a gene specific to Staphylococcus aureus rapidly and accurately, thereby being used to detect the Staphylococcus aureus very efficiently. A primer for detecting Staphylococcus aureus comprises at least one primer pair selected from the group consisting of a primer pair consisting of a primer of SEQ ID : NO. 3 and a primer of SEQ ID : NO. 4 and a primer pair consisting of the primer of SEQ ID : NO. 3 and a primer of SEQ ID : NO. 24. The Staphylococcus aureus is detected through polymerase chain reaction using the primer for detecting the Staphylococcus aureus. A kit for detecting the Staphylococcus aureus comprises the primer for detecting the Staphylococcus aureus, a reaction buffer solution, dNTP and Taq DNA polymerase. Further, the polymerase chain reaction is multiplex polymerase chain reaction.
