PURPOSE:To maintain separability for a long term by forming a cleaning roller composed of a sintered metal contg. a silicone oil sealed in its central hollow part and a cotton-like outer coat covering the surface of the sitered metal. CONSTITUTION:Fixing rollers 2, 3 are rotated in contact with each other, and a nonfixed toner image transferred on a recording paper 4 is fixed with heat or pressure while the paper is passed between the rollers 2, 3. The cleaning roller 1 is rotated in the direction of an arrow, while coating the fixing roller 2 with the silicone oil, to maintain the separability from the surface of the recording paper 4 because of the applied silicone oil. The cleaning roller 1 is formed by winding a cotton-like coat 5 on the hollow sintered metal sleeve 6 having the silicone oil 7 sealed in the hollow part and the oil 7 is allowed to diffuse through the voids of the sintered metal 6 to the outer coat 5 in a flow rate not deficient and not excessive. |
