PURPOSE:To improve the workability of mounting/dismounting of motor while to reduce the size by making a slit in the sideboard at the motor side to enable mounting/dismounting of motor in vertical direction while making a screw hole for securing the motor fixing metal to the sideboard in same direction with the slit. CONSTITUTION:A slit 4a insertable of motor shaft 6a is made from the end to the center of a sideboard 4 of cross-flow fan casing constructed with a rear guide 1, a tongue section 2, a sideboard 4 for fixing a motor 6 and a sideboard 3 fixed with a bearing 7. With such structure, the motor 6 can be mounted/dismounted in vertical direction against the motor shaft 6a, thereby excessive space is not required in the axial direction to enable reduction of size while to improve the workability of mounting/dismounting of motor 6 when assembling or repairing. When matching the axis of screw 9 for securing the motor fixing metal 11 to the sideboard 4 with the direction of slit 4a, the motor 6 can be mounted/dismounted even if there is no spatial clearance in the direction of motor shaft 6a, resulting in shortening of axial dimension.
