PURPOSE:To enhance image quality by widening size distribution of toner particles, adding a negatively electrifiable additive to a toner larger in particle diameter, and a positively electrifiable additive to a toner smaller in particle diameter, and adjusting amts. of both toners to be electrified to a same level. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin and a magnetic powder are mixed to prepare an electrostatic latent image developing magnetic toner contg. a toner smaller in particle diameter capable of enhancing resolution, and a larger toner capable of effectively enhancing conveyability and storage stability. This toner is classified into a larger toner having a particle diameter distribution of 15- 30mum, and a smaller toner having that of 3-20mum. A prescribed amt. of negatively electrifiable fine powder, silica of such a type, is added to the larger toner, and a small amt. of positively electrifiable fine power, such as silica of such a type, is added to the smaller toner, and both electrifiable amts. are adjusted to a same level, and they are again mixed. |
