PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for calculation such as conversion of an area ratio by executing magnification setting by area magnification in a copying device which can vary the magnification setting so that the variable power setting can be inputted by both of a line magnification and area magnification. CONSTITUTION:A display device 5 for indicating the line magnification is lighted and a display device 6 for indicating the area magnification is put out when an operator pushes a desired magnification mode, for example, a key 1 for indicating the line magnification if the operator desires the indication of the line magnification. The numerical value is converted to the line magnification value and is displayed when the area magnification value is indicated on a magnification value display device 7 in this stage. The numerical value of the device 7 can be changed by ten-keys 3. If the operator desires the indication of the area magnification, the operator pushes a key for indicating the area magnification. The device 6 is then lighted and when the operator pushes a copying start key thereafter, the copying at the desired area magnification is executed. |
