A method for transmitting the data information of the electronic service guide is disclosed. The method includes the following steps: step S102, partitioning the data information into one or more of the service information, editing information, content information and service parameter based on the type marking field of the data information, and identifying the data by the data type marking field; step S104, dividing the partitioned data information into blocks, and identifying the data by the data block marking field; step S106, dividing the data block into many bytes, and identifying the byte by the number field of the byte, and the data byte being corresponding to the data unit of the multiplexing sub frame; and step S108, packaging the data information of the main electronic service guide into the data unit of the multiplexing sub frame, and transmitting the data unit through the electronic service guide service logic channel. The disadvantages of the narrow bandwidth of the mobile multimedia broadcast, the restricted capability of the mobile terminal and the short lifetime of the battery are removed, and the usability and the main competitive power are improved.
