The invention relates to a rotary mechanical device allowing pipework to expand, freely, without actions or reactions, especially for lateral movements and changes of direction. It consists of a tube 1 which can move in a fixed support 3 via pins 0 which rest, by gravity, in two half-recesses made in this ring. The axis of this tube is perpendicular to that of the axes of rotation, but it may be coincident with it. On the ends of this tube 1, two elbows 11 and 12 are fixed thereon by flanges and via two deformation boxes 7 and 9. The other ends of these elbows support, via flanges, two other boxes 8 and 10, connected to pipework of opposite direction. The opposite directions of the expansions thus give rise to a rotational torque allowing the free movement. <IMAGE>
