The invention prevents a driver in an abnormal state from driving. The device comprises a spirit level controlled by the operating elements of the driving controls. This spirit level is connected to an electronic level in turn connected to a programming unit; the latter controls a circuit breaker. The operator must maintain the spirit level in perfect equilibrium for a certain adjustable time. If the test is positive, the circuit breaker blocking the driving controls opens; if the opposite is the case, the latter cannot be used. The test may be started again after a programmable waiting time. The device according to the invention is intended in particular to improve road safety.
