PURPOSE:To stabilize the combustion upon low load and low speed operation, by providing a mixture increment control means for increasing the amount of mixture fed from a fuel supply means above the amount of mixture fed upon resting of a secondary intake-air valve. CONSTITUTION:A combined intake-air type engine includes a primary intake-air system 1P having a primary intake-air valve 40, and a secondary intake-air system 1S having a secondary intake-air valve 41 adapted to actuate in a part of the operating range. There is provided a mixture increment control means M2 for increasing the amount of mixture fed from fuel supply means 9, 10 to a combustion chamber in the engine above the amount of mixture fed upon resting of the secondary intake-air valve 41, upon operation of both primary and secondary intake-air valves 40, 41. Thus, the combustion upon low load rotation may be stabilized. |
