PURPOSE:To improve workability, productivity, heat resistance and long-period reliability by setting tentatively a male end piece and female end piece each consisting of Ti or Ti alloy by means of a screw consisting of Ti, Ti alloy, sintered alloy, crystallized glass, etc. to form a hinge then brazing the hinge in this state to a temple. CONSTITUTION:The male end piece 1 and female end piece 3 each consisting of the Ti or Ti alloy are tentatively set by means of the screw consisting of the Ti, Ti alloy, sintered alloy, crystallized glass, etc. to form the hinge 5 and the hinge 5 in the tentatively set state is brazed to the temple 6 consisting likewise of the Ti or Ti alloy in the stage of brazing said male end piece 1 and female end piece 3 to the temple 6. The brazing is completed simply by replacing the screw 2 with an ordinary screw after the brazing. The melting and welding of the screw 2 in the stage of the brazing operation are thereby prevented, by which the generation of a defective product owing to the brazing operation is eliminated and the reduction in the working time is attained. The use of the brazing filler metal having good fluidity at a high temp. and excellent heat resistance is made possible and therefore the long-period stability is assured. |
