Clutch control device, comprising a sleeve 20 carrying a clutch-release bearing 17 and fixed to a bottom wall 16 of a casing 3 containing the clutch 2, a fork 5 whose forked end 5b is arranged between this wall 16 and the clutch-release bearing 17 and distances the latter from the wall 16 during declutching, and an assistance means on declutching using a vacuum, characterised in that the assistance means comprises, between the bottom wall 16 and the fork 5, a jack 19 with a deformable annular chamber 23 surrounding the sleeve 20 and axially delimited by two rigid radial partitions 24, 25, the first partition 24, situated on the fork 5 side being securely fastened to the casing 3, and the second partition 25 being securely fastened to a hub 18 mounted slidably on the sleeve 20 so that, during declutching, the hub 18 slides on the sleeve 20 exerting on the clutch-release bearing 17 an axial thrust P in the direction distancing it from the wall 16 by action of the vacuum prevailing in the chamber 23. This arrangement using a wide space which only slightly extends the casing 3, habitually existing in systems devoid of assistance means, is not very bulky and inexpensive. <IMAGE>
