The invention relates to a sleeve for the sealing enclosure of a tyre structure comprising a tyre carcass and a prevulcanised tread strip arranged thereon during the vulcanisation bonding of the tread strip onto the tyre carcass in the retreading of a tyre, the gaseous components being extracted from or forced out of the sealed space between sleeve and tyre structure, a pressure difference being maintained between the inside and ouside of the sleeve and the tyre structure including sleeve being heated by means of a heating medium to the temperature necessary for vulcanisation-bonding the tread strip onto the tyre carcass. To simplify and cheapen the retreading process, the sleeve has a surface structure, possessing venting grooves, on at least one of its sides, namely facing the tyre carcass or the tread strip.
