The invention relates to a method and to a device for mounting electrical cables 19 or lines in or on buildings, under the plaster. The electrical cable 19 is coated on one side with a double-sided adhesive strip 17 which is covered on one side by an adhesive protective strip. The adhesive protective strip is pulled off the cable 19 in sections, before said cable 19 is mounted under the plaster. The cable 19 is then bonded to the wall or ceiling, by pressing it on, by means of the free adhesive coating of the adhesive strip 17. The device consists of a framework-like supporting frame 15 consisting of hollow profiled elements 14, in which supporting frame 15 a cable-holding drum 9 and an adhesive-strip holder 4 are arranged for the adhesive strip 17 which is adhesive on both sides. Furthermore, a device 18 is provided for conveying the adhesive strip 17 and the cable 19, with the adhesive strip 17 and the cable 19 being pressed together, and the adhesive protective strip being pulled off the pressed-on adhesive strip 17. <IMAGE>
