A continuous web comprising a series of self-adhesive pockets, which are intended for adhesion to objects, packages or the like and to receive identification media, accompanying documents or the like, comprises a two-ply plastics film which is provided with a self-adhesive layer on an outer side and is welded to form individual pockets with an opening slit and is provided with perforations extending transversely and separating the pockets, and a carrier web covering the self-adhesive layer. In order to be able to detach the individual self-adhesive pocket from the continuous web using only one hand, the carrier web is free of perforations and the continuous web is wound on a supply reel, it being possible to wind the carrier web onto an empty reel during unwinding of the continuous web and detaching of the self-adhesive pockets.
