Device for measuring the shape of a hoisted sail, where the shape mainly depends on the depth and position in the lengthways side of the sail's form and where the device consists of a preferably transparent plate (1) or something similar, marked with scales.The device is characterized particularly by the above mentioned plate (1) having at least two primarily identical but different-sized diagrams (2) designed to be aimed at the sail, where each diagram (2) contains a pair (3,4) of adjacent and perpendicular, percentage marked scales, preferably in the form of a grid (5).A further characteristic is that the above mentioned plate (1) contains a diagram (6) for measuring the sail's so-called "twist" among other things, which is done by means of a number of straight lines (8) converging at a common point.<IMAGE> |
