Process for the preparation of isocyanurate group-containing polyisocyanates, the compounds obtainable by this process, and the use thereof for the preparation of polyurethanes

A novel process for the preparation of isocyanurate group-containing polyisocyanates by partial trimerisation of organic polyisocyanates, in which the polyisocyanates to be trimerised are a) compounds or mixtures of compounds of the formula (I) <IMAGE> (R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or a saturated C1-C12-alkyl group, with the proviso that in each case at least two of the radicals are hydrogen; m, n, o and p are 0 or 1, and m + n + o + p is 1 to 2) or b) mixtures of the compounds mentioned under a) with up to 80 NCO equivalent-%, based on the sum a) + b), of other organic polyisocyanates; the isocyanurate group-containing polyisocyanates obtainable in this way, and the use thereof as the isocyanate component in the preparation of polyurethanes.
