FILM HAVING PATTERNWISE ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVITY AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To obtain easily a film having electric conductivity in an anisotropic state or in the form of a circuit by forming a polymer film on an electrode having electrically conductive parts in the form of a desired pattern and by depositing a metal on the polymer film by electroplating. CONSTITUTION:A patterned insulator 4 is formed on a conductor layer 3 formed on an insulating substrate 1 to obtain an electrode substrate having electrically conductive parts in the form of a desired pattern. The obtd. substrate is coated with the polymer film 5 and immersed in a plating soln. or a soln. for electrolytic polymn. Electrolysis is carried out to form a layer by plating or a layer of an aromatic polymer by electrolytic polymn. only on the electrically conductive parts of the electrode. The resulting film 5 having parts 6 provided with electric conductivity and insulating parts 7 is stripped from the substrate 1.
