PURPOSE:To increase the characteristics of a storage battery that uses conjucated system high polymer as the electrode material by mixing a conjucated system high polymer compound in which an aromatic group and a vinylene group are a principal component unit and conductive materials and forming an electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrode for a battery made of high polymer compound is formed by forming a high polymer compound in which an aromatic group and a vinyl group are a principal component unit using a method in which p-xylylene dihalogenide is varied into dehalogenide hydrogen using methyl sulfoxide and such as the solvent and alkali such as potassium class 3 butoxcide and degenerated and mixing carbonaceous materials such as graphite that is electrochemically stable in the potential where the doping of the high polymer compound occurs. In addition, a battery is formed by using alkaline metal such as Li and Na as the negative electrode if the former electrode is used as the positive electrode. As a result, the battery with high energy density can be obtained without initially generating high voltage. |
