In the case of ridge venting on roofs, in which the gaps between the ridge board and the roofing slabs of the roof panes adjoining on either side are covered by downwardly open, channel-shaped or roof-shaped plastic elements which are fastened on a ridge board, the invention proposes such plastic elements 1', the legs of which are profiled at right angles in the longitudinal direction in meandering form or in the form of corrugations. The respective depressions 3' between the impressions 5' form the air-flow ducts. On said impressions 5', in the region of the air-flow ducts where the flow takes effect, there are formed chimney-like openings 51' which are in connection with the space beneath the plastic elements. <IMAGE>
