The invention relates to an X-ray diagnosis device having an image-amplifier television chain, a dose-power control loop and at least one electronic image memory. The invention is based on the object of creating an X-ray diagnosis device by means of which the X-ray dose is saved in comparison with penetration illumination, as a result of the capability for continuous reproduction of in each case one stored X-ray television image, while at the same time the image quality is improved by reducing the quantum noise. This is achieved according to the invention in that memories are provided in which, on completion of the recording of an image in the image memory, the values set on the X-ray generator for this image recording, by means of the dose-power control unit, for the X-ray tube voltage and the X-ray tube current, are stored, and in that these values are used as initial values for the dose-power control for the subsequent image recording. The invention can be used in particular for the case when it is intended to observe processes which change only slowly in the X-ray image, that is to say the transparency of the object changes only slightly in the time between two images being stored as is the case, for example, during surgical investigations.
