The invention relates to a plastic window section which is provided with a metal-vapour coating applied to it on the inside or outside. The metal-vapour coating may be on the surface of the section walls or on the side of the walls facing the hollow space or inside the section walls. The metal-vapour coating may be applied on the inside or outside by various methods. The plastic window frame section provided with one or more metal-vapour coatings has a higher insulating effect, by virtue of the heat-radiation reflecting properties of the metal-vapour coating, than sections without such a metal-vapour coating or metal-vapour coatings.
