Fast-operating system for exchanging moulds on presses, in particular on presses for injection moulding (die casting) light alloys and thermoplastic materials, in the form of a press having a horizontal axis, the press having a fixed platen and a movable platen which can be moved towards the fixed platen or away from it, to which end it is slid along parallel pair, of supporting and guide columns, two auxiliary support platens being provided and serving to fasten the mould halves to the movable press platen and to the fixed press platen, each mould half being fastened to its auxiliary platen by screwing in of screws and each auxiliary platen being locked in the correct position by the actuation of hydraulic units and also means for rapidly locking an ejector unit of the press in the correct position being provided.
