At a method of bleaching pulp intended for paper or paperboard the hydrogen peroxide is added as mist in air or vapour to the suspension of the dry pulp, which at high speed flows out of the drier. Also the base used for adjusting the pH value can be added in this way. The disintegration of the peroxide which heretofore rendered dry bleaching difficult is avoided, and high degrees of brightness are achieved. |
