The object of constructing the known push-on end closures for plastic-insulated single-conductor cables for use at 220 kV and above is mainly achieved in that the insulating capsule 1 with the integrated field-control funnel consists of two hollow-cylindrical components (inner and outer part 2 + 3 and 4 + 5 respectively), the outer part is pushed onto the inner part with a push fit, and the parts of the field-control funnel (4 + 3) which are integrated in the outer part and inner part supplement one another to form a common control funnel. <IMAGE>
