The invention relates to a roof spoiler for motor vehicles which is held tight on the roof of the motor vehicle by means of a holder. The lower edges of its front walls and side walls stand - using sealing profiles - on the roof of the motor vehicle and at the same time cover the front area of a sliding roof opening. Below the wind guiding face of the motor vehicle roof, two bars are provided, one of which is constructed as a reinforcement bar for displaceably attaching the upper parts of the attachment devices and the second of which is constructed as an elastic tensioning bar for compensating the ageing phenomena of the roof spoiler.
