The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with a pneumatic tyre, in particular to a wheel for lorries, having a rigid rim and having a tyre made of rubber or rubber-like plastics, whose carcass ends in bead core-free tyre beads, in which the tyre beads are arranged on the radially inner circumference of the rim flange. For the sake of easier fitting of the tyre, it is proposed that the tyre wall extend in the region of the beads essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the tyre, that the rim flange have on the radially inner side in the region of the rim seat faces at least two circumferential ribs which each enclose a groove between them, that tyre bead ribs dip into the grooves, that a clamping ring, which is attached at several points of its circumference to the rim flange hold the tyre bead in the mounted position and that the clamping ring cover in the lateral direction at least one groove and parts of the adjacent ribs of the rim flange.
