In the case of a mechanical endless connection for a conveyor belt, especially for bucket conveyors, in which the two end sections which are to be connected to one another of the conveyor belt section which is to be made endless are bent away outwards at the connecting point, essentially at right angles to the running side of the conveyor belt, after a rounded transition, and mouldings which are connected to one another by means of connecting screws rest on its outside and inside, by means of which the course of the conveyor belt at the connecting point is predetermined, a reinforcing element through which the connecting screws pass being allocated to the outer mouldings on both sides, in each case located outside, it is intended to create a solution which considerably simplifies or renders superfluous the initial connecting screw assembly and its tightening, at a low material cost. This is achieved in that the reinforcing elements are constructed as U-profiles (6, 11) and in that the U-reinforcing profile (6) which is allocated to the heads (9) of the connecting screws (8) is dimensioned in such a manner that the inner surface of a flange (7) of the relevant U-reinforcing profile (6) in each case rests on a screw-head side surface (10) in such a manner that the relevant screw (8) is secured against rotation. <IMAGE>
