Machine for filling and sealing bags

To hold open bags during transport from a filling station to a sealing station, suction strips (110a, 110b) are used. The latter are moved inwards together with clamping plates (109a, 109b) once the bags have been filled and lowered, the suction strips (110a, 110b) coming to rest against the side walls of the bag. Then the suction strips (110a, 110b) are moved upwards, and in this process they slide along the side walls of the bag. The bag is taken to the sealing station with side walls held in this manner. The suction strips (109a, 109b) are only detached from the bag when the bag tab is held by folding knives.
