PURPOSE:To arrange so that ink inside a tank may be completely used by arranging plural ink-impregnated members having varying capillary capacity in such a way that the capillary capacity gradually increases to the nearest member to the ink supply port. CONSTITUTION:When the ink is consumed completely, the ink in a porous member 62 flows into a printer head body through an ink guide groove 12b of an ink supply guide arm and a thin groove 45 of a tank bottom stepped part 44. At that time, the moving quantity of the ink in the porous member is negligible and therefore, almost no ink blocking occurs, because the ink movement is in the thickness direction of a plate-like porous member 62. Furthermore, if the ink is exhausted, a differential in the internal pressures of a porous member 61 and the porous member 62 generates immediately due to the difference of an average nozzle diameter. Thus the uninterrupted ink supply equivalent to an ink consumption from the porous member 61 to the porous member 62 results. |
