Television renting systems, particularly for hospitals, homes for the elderly, sanatoriums, hotels and the like, having a central station used as a master terminal and a plurality of television sets, wherein the central station is so arranged that each television set may be turned on by means of coded signals during a predetermined lapse of time and wherein each television set comprises a decoder for the coded signals. In order to enable a rapid, simple and inexpensive setting of the television renting system and to prevent all kinds of manipulations of the television sets, there is proposed to use as decoders electronic triggering devices and to place them in each television set in question, and further to connect the decoders to the central station exclusively by means of a usual antenna real line installed in the building and to provide each decoder for each television set with an additional electronic audio-transmission device co-operating with an audio-receiving device disposed outside the television set.
