In the case of a plug socket for coaxial plugs, having a housing and plug-socket contacts which are connected to different current conductors, the regions of the plug-socket contacts which are constructed for resting on the contacts of the coaxial plug are arranged at least essentially at right angles to one another. Both plug-socket contacts are constructed for resting both on the central and on the outer contact of the coaxial plug. The housing has two through-openings which are arranged essentially at right angles to one another.
