发明名称 CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the inclusions in a molten metal from stagnating in the bottom of an inverted Y-shape immersion nozzle and to cast a steel ingot having high quality by using said nozzle and moving back and forth the nozzle toward the inside of a casting mold under specific conditions in the stage of continuous casting. CONSTITUTION:The inclusions incorporated in the molten steel float together with upward molten steel flow 6 and stagnate 8 in the bottom 7 of the immersion nozzle 3 having the inverted Y-shape to remain in the steel ingot, thereby deteriorating the internal quality of the steel ingot in the stage of pouring the molten steel or the like into a continuous casting mold 5 by using said nozzle 3. The nozzle 3 is laterally moved back and forth toward the inside wall of the mold 5 at 2.5cm/sec speed within the range of >=1/2 the diameter of the nozzle in the case. The floating inclusions 8 deviate from the bottom 7 of the nozzle 3 and float on the surface of the molten steel and are therefore prevented from being intruded into the steel ingot and from remaining therein. The steel ingot having excellent quality is thus easily obtd.
