ADDITIVE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING MOLD AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To develop an additive for a continuous casting mold which does not generate powder dust of carbon by forming said additive into a granular state and sticking carbon powder as a melting speed adjusting agent to the surface of the granular additive with an org. material as a binder. CONSTITUTION:The additive to be used for continuous casting is prepd. by using CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 as a base, mixing the pulverous powder of a flux component consisting of the fluoride and oxide of an alkali metal and alkaline earth metal as a melting point-and viscosity adjusting agent with said base and pelletaizing the mixture into the granular state by an extrusion pelletizing method, rolling pelletizing method, etc. The mixture prepd. by mixing the org. material such as thermoplastic resin or polyvinyl compd. having >=60 deg.C softening point with the carbon powder at 1-50wt% by the weight of the carbon powder is stuck to the surface of the granular flux component in the stage of sticking the carbon powder as the melting speed adjusting agent to such additive. The additive for the continuous casting mold which obviates the exfoliation and scattering of the pulverous carbon from the granular flux component is produced.
