PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer member used in correction for simply and certainly correcting a recording image recorded by error, when a color image is formed by utilizing color forming reaction between a leuco dye and a coupler, and adapted to the recording of an accurate image. CONSTITUTION:The titled transfer member is one adapted in order to correct the erroneous recording formed on a receiving sheet and, in thermal transfer using the receiving sheet having receiving layer containing a coupler as a main component, a transfer layer, which contains a colorant with a refractive index of 1.8 or more, a coupler and, if necessary, a filler with reflectivity of 60% or more, having the same color as the receiving layer of said receiving sheet is provided on a support. In thermal transfer using a receiving sheet such as plain paper, a transfer layer, which contains said colorant with refractive index of 1.8 or more and, if necessary, said filler with reflectivity of 60% or more, having the same color as the receiving layer of said receiving sheet is provided on the support. |
