PURPOSE:To improve reliability when a space arises in a heat insulating material by setting the position of the aperture of a pipeline which collects a gas in order to detect the sodium concn. in the gas near the space of the piping or heat insulating material of an apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The piping 1 is a piping in which the coolant to be used in a fast neutron reactor, etc., i.e., sodium flows. A system for detecting leakage of sodium which detects the leakage of the sodium from the cooling piping, etc. is installed to the fast neutron reactor. The system has the piping 3 having the aperture to suck the gas around the piping 1, etc. The system detects the concn. of the sodium in the gas sucked by the piping 3. The aperture of the piping 3 is set near the space 17 of the heat insulating material around the piping 1. The sodium leaking through the space 17 is efficiently detected. |
