PURPOSE:To obtain a finned heat transmitting tube at a low cost with high heat transmission performance by laminating fin plates having high heat transmissibility, welding a brazing filler metal to one end face, separating the fin plates, winding the plates to the heat transmitting tube and conducting electric current to the contact parts thereof. CONSTITUTION:Many sheets of long-sized thin sheets 4 manufactured of a material having high heat conductivity such as Al, Cu are stacked and the brazing filler metal 6 consisting of Ag, Al, Cu, etc. is welded onto one end face to a uniform thickness. The sheets 4 are separated to each sheet and the separated sheet is spirally wound on the heat transmitting tube 2 made of a highly corrosion resistant material such as Ti in such a manner that the brazing filler metal part 6 contacts with the outside surface of said tube. Electric current is simultaneously passed to the point where the sheet 4 is in contact with the tube 2 to melt the metal 6 thereby welding the sheet and the tube. An inert gas 8 is prererably blown to the welding point. Such heat transmitting tube is usable for a heat exchanger such as a steam condenser. |
