PURPOSE:To make it possible to stabilize the running of an ink ribbon while making it possible to reduce the pressing force of a brake piece, in an impact line printer, by increasing friction force by complicating the running route of the ink ribbon to increase the contact surface of said route. CONSTITUTION:Because an ink ribbon 1 is drawn out from a tray 2 through a tension applying apparatus constituted of the leading end of a stand 15, the gap between a first guide 11 and a brake piece 13 and a second guide 12, the tension by the contact with the edges of the stand 15 and the first guide 11, and the second guide 12 is applied to the ink ribbon 1 and pressing force by the spring 14 of the brake piece 13 can be made small. Therefore, the ink ribbon 1 is brought to a stable runnable state and hardly slipped out from the first guide 11 and the brake piece 13. Even if the ink ribbon 1 is slipped out, said ribbon 1 is run through the stand 15, the second guide 12 and a guide roller 41 and, because tension is applied to the ink ribbon 1 from the stand 15 and the second guide 12, possibility generating printing defect is reduced. |
