PURPOSE:To raise the temperature of hot water in a heat insulating tank to heat a heater core upon starting of an engine, by providing such an arrangement that valves in passages are opened and closed in accordance with signals from an ambient temperature sensor, an engine cooling water temperature sensor and a heat insulating tank water temperture. CONSTITUTION:In parallel with an outgoing passage (a) in a main hot water circulating passage, there is provided an auxiliary hot water circulating passage (a). Upon starging of an engine a valve disposed in a pipe line from a water jacket B to a branch point between the main and auxliary hot water passages (a, d) is closed, and a valve 2 at the outlet of a return passage (b) in the main hot water circulating passage and a valve 3 in the outgoing passage in the main hot water circulating passage in the vicinity of the terminal end thereof are closed so that hot water which is reserved in a heat insulating tank 6 during operation of the engine, alone flows into a heater core 5 to immediately heat the vehicle compartment during the period until the temperature of water in the engine water jacket B rises. The opening and closing of the valves 1, 2, 3 and the operation of the pump 7 are effected in accordance with signals from sensors 15, 16, 19. |
