A pellet-sintering bed has a conveyor (1) of constant speed (v) delivering the raw pellets to a metering belt (4) pref. running at double this speed (2v). The metering belt is mounted on a truck travelling in one direction (3) pref. at the same speed as the bed conveyor. - The raw pallets fall onto a transverse conveyor belt (5) for further transport, e.g. to a rolling sieve. When the truck travels in the reverse direction, the metering belt stops, so that no pellets are delivered to the transverse belt during the return movement of the truck. The drive to the metering conveyor restarts on completion of the return stroke, the process being repeated as the truck travels in the original direction. (Dwg.No.1) |
