PURPOSE:To easily detect abnormality of each load part of a copying machine by detecting a current inputted to the copying machine and comparing it with the current value of each timing data stored previously in a CPU. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine is powered on through a main switch which is not shown in a figure and the current is detected by a current detecting circuit 7, A/D-converted 9, and inputted to the CPU10. The CPU10 is stored with levels of normal currents flowing to respective loads 12-16 through respective drivers 11 and flow timing data on the currents. If the difference between the stored level of a current and the timing exceeds a threshold value, it is decided that the corresponding load circuit is faulty. Consequently, the need to provide a sensor for every load is eliminated to reduce the cost and also simplify the device, and a fault part is detected easily. |
