PURPOSE:To prevent water in the air in the housing of the optical deflector from coming into drops owing to variation in ambient temperature by providing a dried material in the housing. CONSTITUTION:The motor housing 10 and a cover 29 superposed thereupon surround a polygon mirror 7 and a driving mechanism part 8 which drives it to seal the housing 6. The desiccating material 33 such as silica gel is provided in the 2nd chamber 10a in the motor housing 10 which is partitioned with a partition body 32. Further, a communication hole 32a which links the 1st room 10a and the 2nd room 10b with each other is bored in the partition body 32 and this communication hole 32a is blocked with a high polymer film 34 which allows water molecules to pass. Water in the air in the housing 6 is passed through the communication hole 32a and absorbed by the desiccating material 33 and no dew condensation is caused. |
