FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: multiangle multienergetic radiography is enabled by exposing the object to digitalised reaction high-energy gamma-rays set in set of directions. Radiation though the object is detected and displayed with, at least, one detector array. Substances of high atomic number are indicated while attenuation characteristic difference is found for substances of high atomic number as contrasted to substances of low and medium atomic number. ^ EFFECT: possibility to detect low amounts of nuclear materials in freight elements sized from small packages, passenger luggage, freight pallets and airfreight containers to full-length shipping containers, loaded land conveyances or railway cars. ^ 20 cl, 8 dwg |
