Door lock

A door lock comprises a lever 2 pivoted at 3 for movement against a bias spring 8. A rod 9 is pivoted to the lever 2 and carries a roller 10 which runs in a slot 14 of a fixed cam 11 and into a slot of a pivoted cam 12 so as to prevent the cam 12 from pivoting. A key-operated mechanism 5 or solenoid 7 urges the lever 2 against the bias of the spring 8 so as to move the rod 9 such that the roller 10 is moved out of the slot 15. The cam 12 can now pivot and release a tooth 18, so as to permit a door to which the lock is fitted to be opened, while the roller 10 runs on a surface (17) of the cam 12.
