PURPOSE:To facilitate the positioning of a pad, by attaching the pad to a bracket through a spring, and using the force of the spring to bring the pad into contact with a core between rollers. CONSTITUTION:A core 8 of small diameter is rotatably supported between paper feed rollers 6 concentrically thereto. A bracket 2 is provided in the face of the bottom of each paper feed roller 6. A pad 4 is attached to th bracket 2 through a spring 3 such as a helical spring so that the top of the pad is placed in the trough 7-1 between the rollers 6 and pushed on the core 8 by the force of the spring 3. Paper 9 sent out from a paper feed cassette by the rollers 6 comes in between the pad 4 and the core 8 so that the paper is partly bent protrusively by the depth of the trough 7-1 and the protrusively bent portion of the paper is pushed on the surface of the core 8 by the pad 4. As a result, only one sheet of paper 9 is conveyed out by the frictional force caused between the sheet and the rollers 6 along with the rotation of the rollers. |
