SLIDING NOZZLE DEVICE HAVING ELECTRICAL HEATING PLATE

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which prevents surely closing of a nozzle during standing-by for casting by providing a heating element part to be electrically heated to a sliding plate so that the molten steel stagnating in the molten steel flow hole during the full closing of the nozzle is directly heated. CONSTITUTION:The heating element part 8 to be electrically heated is provided to at least the point of the sliding plate 5 which contacts with the molten steel flow hole 4 of a stationary plate 3 in the mis-matching position of the sliding nozzle device which regulates the molten steel flow by sliding the sliding plate 5 having a lower sliding nozzle 7 with the stationary plate 3 fixed to a vessel bottom 2 having an upper stationary nozzle 1 to match thorough or mis-match the molten metal flow holes, 4, 6 provided respectively thereto. The molten steel stagnating in the hole 4 is effectively heated by the part 8 to prevent closing by solidification.
