摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the titled structure of which the pressure loss is reduced while the collection efficiency thereof is held to a constant level, constituted of a large number of inlet side passages, a large number of outlet side passages and the ceramic carrier present therebetween, and characterized by forming a communication holes to the end parts of passages provided to an outer peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:In a porous ceramic structure 1 which consists of a large number of passages consisting of a first group of inlet passages 3 opened at one end 2a and a second group of outlet passages 4 opened at the other ends 2b and the ceramic carrier 2 present between passages and having a large number of internal walls 7 and allows the porous internal walls 7 to remove particles in the fluid passed from the inlet passages 3 to the outlet passages, communication hols 5 are provided by drilling to the closed end parts of the inlet passages 3 and/or the outlet passages 4 in the side positioned at the outer peripheral part of the above-mentioned carrier 2. Particles in a fluid is largely flowed into the inlet passages 3 at the central region because of inertia force and a fluid with reduced content of particles is flowed through the communication holes 5 in the outer peripheral part to make the rising in pressure loss gentle in such a state that the collection efficiency of particles is held.
