PURPOSE:To facilitate cleaning operation by forming a slit in the nearly entire peripheral surface of a housing provided along a cylindrical brush which sweeps away toner on the surface of a photosensitive body and connecting it to a suction duct, and sucking air. CONSTITUTION:Excessive toner on the surface of the photosensitive body 17 is swept away by the cylindrical brush 16. The cylindrical brush 16 is provided in a brush storage chamber 14 in the housing 12, which consists of the storage chamber 14 and a cylindrical cavity 15. The cavity 15 is formed in parallel to the brush 16 almost to overall length; and plural partition walls 13 extend axially and the storage chamber 14 and cavity 15 communicate with each other through the slit 18 that the partition walls 13 have. Further, the cavity 15 is open to the outside air through a cyclone 23, filter 25, blower 24, and filter 26. Consequently, the blower 24 is rotated to collect toner in the filters 25 and 26 and cyclone 23 efficiently, thereby preventing it from scattering. |
