PRINTED CHARACTER CORRECTING TAPE AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of typewriter paper at the time of erasion by enhancing the erasing property of a printed character, by providing a silicone sticking layer onto a flexible substrate and bringing the surface of the aforementioned sticking layer to a low sticking or non-sticking state by photocrosslinking. CONSTITUTION:A printed character correcting tape 1 is constituted of a flexible substrate 4 and the silicone sticking layer 5 provided to the single surface of said substrate 4. The surface layer of the sticking layer 5 is brought to a low sticking state by photocrosslinking in a degree showing almost no stickiness even if said sticking layer 5 is touched by a finger or to a non-sticking state showing no stickiness at all. When typing pressure is applied to the tape 1 under instantaneously large pressure by a typing bar 6, the pressurized part 7 of the sticking layer 5 is fluidized and deformed to integrate the low sticking part or non-sticking part of the surface layer of the sticking layer 5 and the internal sticking part thereof and well adhered to a printed character 2 along the unevenness thereof by proper stickiness and a good compatible characteristic.
